On Aug. 10, 2007, Vanessa's life was saved when her dying heart was removed and replaced by the CardioWest(TM) temporary Total Artificial Heart (TAH-t). On November 24, 2007, Vanessa received her human heart transplant. Today, Vanessa is doing great and still enjoys working out and boxing.
