Thanksgiving Evening
For the second year in a row, CompUSA stores across the continental United States including Hawaii and Alaska will open their doors on Thanksgiving evening, Thursday, November 22 from 9 p.m. to midnight. Stores in Massachusetts and Puerto Rico will not be open Thanksgiving Day, to adhere to local laws. The Thanksgiving shopping hours are back by popular demand after thousands of consumers lined up last year to get a jump start on Black Friday holiday shopping. This year, CompUSA stores will provide something extra by serving pumpkin pie to shoppers before the stores open and the shopping begins.
“Last year, we made a unique move in the electronics retail industry to open our doors on Thanksgiving evening,” said Ross. “Our customers enjoyed the early start on holiday savings and getting out of the house with their families for shopping after a day of turkey and football.”
But consumers don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving evening to shop. Beginning at midnight on Thanksgiving, CompUSA.com will have a one day, online only sale with special deals not available in stores and free shipping on select products. On CompUSA.com, cyber shoppers will find discounts on products including notebooks and desktop computer systems, LCD flat-panel TVs and monitors, printers, and portable DVD players.
CompUSA’s Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday door busters and promotions will be available to view in newspaper circulars and online beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Thanksgiving.
Black Friday Shopping
For consumers who traditionally shop on Black Friday, CompUSA will open its doors, in all markets, at 5:00 a.m. until 9 p.m. CompUSA will have a special 7-hour sale from 5 a.m. to noon where shoppers will be able to purchase deeply discounted technology products. The same deals available in-store on Black Friday will also be available on CompUSA.com, except for those during the 7-hour sale.
Cyber Monday Shopping
Due to last year’s significant increase in the number of shoppers on Cyber Monday, the company will slash prices on a whole new set of products, while supplies last. Cyber Monday shoppers will also benefit from shipping on select products on CompUSA.com, making online shopping even more attractive this year. CompUSA’s Cyber Monday deals will be posted on www.compusa.com at 12:01 a.m. on November 26.
