SAN DIEGO--()--Brian McKnight is the latest celebrity to hear the famous words, “you’re fired,” from Donald Trump on the most recent episode of The Celebrity Apprentice, and as the competition intensifies, Chicken of the Sea International is making it easier for fans to attend the live season finale.
“We’ve received some great entries so far, but we think by sharing some examples, even more people will get excited about the contest”
The seafood company, which is looking to business-savvy consumers to complete a marketing task and enter its Apprentice Challenge contest, has posted three examples of what the seafood company is looking for in its entries. Sample entries can be viewed at ApprenticeChallenge2009.com. Do you think you can do better?
Entries are due by April 24, and the winning contestant will go to New York City for The Celebrity Apprentice season finale May 10.
“We’ve received some great entries so far, but we think by sharing some examples, even more people will get excited about the contest,” said John Sawyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Chicken of the Sea. “These examples were posted to help spark creativity.”
To participate, consumers are asked to complete a marketing challenge that fits into one of the following categories: outlining a new product concept; designing a billboard that promotes Chicken of the Sea’s Healthy Selections or its pink salmon, albacore and light tuna cups; or outlining a viral campaign that could be successfully carried out on a social network – similar to what the celebrities were asked to do in week six. All entries must focus on Chicken of the Sea’s key attributes of health, nutrition and convenience and will also be judged according to how well they achieve the company’s provided goal for each challenge.
The grand-prize winner will be selected by a panel of sponsor judges and announced the day after Chicken of the Sea is included in a two-hour episode of The Celebrity Apprentice on May 3. In order to enter the contest and be considered for the grand-prize trip, contest participants must enter by April 24 at midnight PDT, be registered Mermaid Club members and meet all eligibility requirements. Prizes for the contest winner include round-trip airfare to New York City, hotel accommodations and two tickets to the show’s finale.
