SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Adobe Systems Incorporated today announced that Cloudveil, a producer of inspired mountain apparel, has increased online sale conversions by double-digits and improved its site performance and overall customer experience with the Adobe® Scene7® hosted rich-media platform.

Since the addition of Scene7, Cloudveil experienced a considerable increase in the amount of time users remain on the site. This is largely due to the product-specific videos now featured on 20 percent of Cloudveil’s merchandise and 60 feature videos in the video gallery, including clips of extreme skiing interspersed with demos of key product features. Online conversion rates for products where shoppers watch product videos are nearly two times higher than conversion rates on products where videos are not viewed. Additionally, the average order value for shoppers who viewed a product video is 19 percent higher.
Using Scene7’s scalable rich media publishing system that leverages single master images to produce multiple image derivatives on-demand, Cloudveil has also been able to add lifestyle and on-model imagery sitewide – more than doubling the number of images per product. This has reduced image production time across Cloudveil.com by more than 50 percent, and has freed up valuable resources to focus on more immediate corporate brand needs and improving user experience. Prior to Scene7, Cloudveil had only 10 images per product and was unable to add more imagery or offer customers a “view all” option because of lengthy page load times.
Between the photos and online product videos, Cloudveil has been able to provide shoppers with more information than what they would have access to in a retail store.
