AZUSA, Calif.--()--Rain Bird, the leading manufacturer and provider of irrigation products and services, announced today the launch of an online resource guide that provides detailed information on rebates and incentive programs offered by municipalities and water agencies to encourage water-efficient landscaping. The state-by-state guide is available on Rain Bird’s website, and is designed to give homeowners, businesses and landscape professionals easy access to the most up-to-date information relating to rebates and financial incentives available in some states to offset the cost of landscape conversions and upgrading to more efficient irrigation and sprinkler products.
“Oftentimes both homeowners and green industry professionals are unaware of local water conservation incentive programs or become frustrated as they are unable to find up-to-date information”
As a comprehensive database, the site includes information on local rebates and incentives available for the use of water-efficient irrigation products such as ET controllers, rotary nozzles, drip irrigation and rain sensors, in addition to information on incentives offered for landscape conversions, use of drought tolerant plants, water recycling and water collection systems such as rain barrels.
“As local water districts and municipalities continue to increase water rates and levy necessary watering restrictions, water conservation is no longer a choice; it is the responsibility of each and every one of us,” said Dave Johnson, Rain Bird’s director of corporate marketing. “This resource guide enables homeowners, businesses and landscape professionals to not only easily find irrigation water savings rebate programs and incentives in their area, but it also empowers them to make smart choices that will lead to more water efficient landscapes, and ultimately, a sustainable water supply for future generations.”
By using the guide, visitors can easily locate information on current rebates being offered by their state and water agency, as well as program descriptions, start and stop dates, websites and contact information, in addition to a listing of eligible Rain Bird products, if available.
“Oftentimes both homeowners and green industry professionals are unaware of local water conservation incentive programs or become frustrated as they are unable to find up-to-date information,” added Johnson. “By compiling all of the necessary information and resources into one location, homeowners and professionals can really utilize these programs to cost-effectively upgrade to more water-efficient landscapes.”
Rain Bird’s launch of the product rebate resource guide is the most recent example in the company's history of creating programs and initiatives to boost awareness of water conservation. Rain Bird devotes significant resources to its Intelligent Use of Water public initiatives, which include a series of white papers; public service announcements; membership on the Alliance for Water Efficiency and the steering committee advising the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on its WaterSense product labeling program; bi-annual Intelligent Use of Water Summits; partnerships with non-profit organizations; development and support of elementary and middle school curriculums; and participation in the Tournament of Roses Parade®, an annual worldwide stage to communicate the need for water conservation.
