FORT COLLINS, Colo.--()--CasaTools, a leader in whole house audio systems, today announced the immediate availability of its CasaTunes Keypads. Specially designed to work with the CasaTunes XLi, the CasaTunes XLe, and the CasaTunes XL Music Server, the CasaTunes in-wall LCD Keypads completes the CasaTunes whole house audio system. The CasaTunes Keypad provides users an additional option to control their music from any room in the home.
“It not only supports CasaTunes existing hardware line of home audio solutions, but it also supports several third party systems, including those from Russound and Nuvo Technologies.”
“The CasaTunes Keypads offer incredible functionality and value. Using our Keypads, users have full control over their music collections, as well as SHOUTcast™ Internet Radio. Best of all, the CasaTunes Keypad is extremely simple to setup, install and use,” said David Krinker, President, CasaTools. “It not only supports CasaTunes existing hardware line of home audio solutions, but it also supports several third party systems, including those from Russound and Nuvo Technologies.”
The CasaTunes Keypad enables users to turn the music on or off, in one or more rooms, and to specify a turn off delay, set the volume, switch between sources of music, browse and select music from Windows, iTunes and iPod devices, as well as browse and select SHOUTcast Internet Radio stations. Music can be selected by album, genre, artist, or playlist. Further, the CasaTunes Keypad can configure various equalization settings including the bass, treble, balance and loudness compensation settings for each room.
The LCD screen is used to display the music source, song title, artist, album and play back progress information for the current song that is playing. It can also provide system feedback, such as whether this room has been setup as not be disturbed (DND), whether the keypad is setup as a master for the current Zone Group, whether the keypad is locked and does not accept key presses or whether this room is scheduled to wake to music.
Up to six CasaTunes Keypads can be connected to each CasaTunes Keypad Hub, which in turn connects to a USB port on the CasaTunes XL Music Server. The number of keypads supported can easily be expanded by adding additional keypad hubs. The keypads connect to the CasaTunes USB6 Keypad Hub using standard cat5 (or better) cable and terminating each end using a standard RJ45 connector. Assignment of a keypad to a specific room or Zone Group is accomplished using the keypad menus, dramatically simplifying the installation process when compared to other products.
The CasaTunes Keypad and CasaTunes USB6 Keypad Hub can be purchased individually or as a bundle. The CasaTunes Keypad bundle has an MSRP of $999 and comes in a package of 6 keypads and one CasaTunes USB6 Keypad Hub. The bundle is immediately available through authorized dealers and from the CasaTools web site www.casatunes.com. The CasaTunes Keypad fits into a standard single gang electrical box or low-voltage frame and is available in almond, white, ivory and black.
