This recognition was a result of a 2008 performance that brought global revenues to $38.5 million leading to a 5-year growth rate of 2,151%.

Top companies recognized in this year’s list comprised of multiple sectors including business services, construction, consumer services, financial services, food, healthcare, manufacturing, media/marketing, real estate retail, technology and utilities. Though the overall list consisted of a variety of sectors, business services and technology dominated consuming almost half the list with each area accounting for twelve entries.

The 2009 Crain Chicago’s Fast 50 considers companies public or private and takes into consideration global revenues from 2003 through 2008. This annually featured list includes companies that are at least five years old, have accumulated a minimum of $20 million in revenue for 2008, and are located in the immediate six-county Chicago Metro area.
