AEi Expands Customer Service in Asia

WILMINGTON, Mass.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Automation Engineering Incorporated (AEi), a global supplier of high-precision, flexible automation systems, is enhancing its service support capacity for Asia and Oceana. Staffed by direct employees in Hong Kong and the Zuhai region of mainland China, AEi’s customer service will support a growing customer base as market acceptance of AEi’s CMAT camera module alignment, assembly, and test stations continues. CMAT’s installed base includes customers making cameras for portable devices such as mobile phones and PDAs, industrial products such as boroscopes and endosopes, and for automotive safety systems. The CMAT stations assemble camera modules with AEi’s proprietary 5 and 6 degree of freedom active alignment, enabling much higher quality camera images and performance than available with alternate assembly methods.

According to AEi Chief Technology Officer Andre By, “We have deployed and supported AEi automation equipment installations in Asia and Oceana for many years using a combination of staffing from our US-based AEi operations and our Asia-based partner, Palomar Technologies. However, to address increasing regional orders for camera module alignment, assembly and test stations and the requests of our existing customers for added applications development for new camera manufacturing programs on-site, we are expanding our capacity for local support.”
