CARY, N.C.--()--Global Knowledge today announced the availability of Nortel Software Communication System Release 3.0 Configuration, a training course for installation technicians and customer service representatives responsible for configuring Nortel Software Communication System (SCS) systems. The course prepares students for the Nortel Certified Support Specialist SCS Release 3.0 Configuration Exam (920-341).
In the three-and-a-half-day Nortel SCS training course taught at the SCS Release 3.0 level, students will learn SCS components and cover initial configuration tasks, including configuring user profiles and phones. Students will learn about gateway, dial plan, and system configuration, and they will learn to configure the Auto Attendant, hunt groups, and Automated Call Distribution. Students will learn conferencing and diagnostics options and how to create backups and restore files in Nortel SCS Release 3.0, and they will learn to upgrade Nortel SCS software.
Students enrolling in this Nortel SCS training course should have a thorough understanding of IP networks. They also should have an understanding of basic PBX system technology, SIP theory and concepts, DNS and DNS SRV theory and concepts, PCs and PC networking technology, core data components, and core telephony, along with basic PSTN trunk knowledge.
