The five-day BCM50 and BCM450 Release 5.0 Installation, Initial Configuration, and Messaging (6045) course is designed for installation technicians and administrators who install and perform initial configuration on Nortel BCM50 and BCM450 Release 5.0 systems. Students will learn about BCM50 and BCM450 Release 5.0 system hardware components, installation, and initial configuration. They will learn to set up accounts and privileges and to configure telephony resources, trunks, target lines, and VoIP gateways. Students will learn to use CallPilot Manager to set system properties, and they’ll learn to configure CallPilot mailboxes, Auto Attendant, and Custom Call Routing. In BCM50 and BCM450 Release 5.0 System Configuration and Maintenance (6046), a three-day course designed for technicians and administrators who operate and maintain BCM50 and BCM450 Release 5.0 systems, students will learn to configure system settings, sets, and services. They will learn to monitor and analyze system status and performance and to perform system management tasks. Students also will learn to upgrade BCM software and to configure VLANs. BCM50 and BCM450 Release 5.0 System Configuration and Maintenance (6046) is available in Global Knowledge classrooms and live over the Internet in virtual classrooms.
BCM50 and BCM450 Release 5.0 Sales Engineering Solutions (6027), a two-day course available live over the Internet in a virtual classroom, is designed for sales engineers responsible for pre- and post-sales support of BCM. Through lecture, discussion, and a case study, students will learn to determine the requirements needed to properly implement BCM50 or BCM450. They will examine BCM architecture components and applications, evaluating them to determine the appropriate solution to meet a customer’s needs.
BCM50/450 Release 5.0 Delta (6054), a three-hour virtual classroom e-learning course, is designed for installation technicians and customer service personnel who need to understand the differences between BCM450 Release 1.0/BCM50 Release 3.0 and BCM50/450 Release 5.0.
