Imagine Solutions Chosen to Slash Large Bank’s Transportation Costs

Solution’s Technology Components Include IBM FileNet P8 and Kofax KTM

DALLAS--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Imagine Solutions announced today that a leading U.S. bank with more than 500 branches and more than $50 billion in assets has selected Imagine Solutions to deploy enterprise content management (ECM) solutions that will drastically reduce the bank’s transportation costs.

The bank’s document delivery expense has been climbing steeply as the sheer number of its document types (more than 250) and its volume of work increase. Without imaging processes in its branch network, the bank has depended heavily on overnight shipping and private couriers to make daily pick-ups at the branches and deliver documents at its central operations site.

Imagine Solutions worked with the bank to define the requirements for an enterprise solution under which branch employees can simply capture documents on existing devices, automatically entering it into the FileNet P8 environment. Kofax KTM technology will recognize the document type and its destination. The current engagement also provides for a simple workflow component that identifies the document and verifies its receipt in the central repository. As additional workflow processes are created, the solution can be expanded easily to incorporate them.

According to JD Hicks, Imagine’s president, “The business case provides for the bank to recoup its investment inside of a year purely on the basis of reduced courier and transportation costs.”

Other benefits will include more timely receipt of imaged documents at central operations, improved customer service (both internal and external), immediate identification of document problems and more rapid resolution of them, improved process management through the workflow components, and a greener operation as physical transportation plummets.
