NAB Show to Host Finale of International Film Competition

--48 Hour Film Projects' 'Filmapalooza' to take place April 10-12 in Las Vegas--

WASHINGTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--NAB announced today that the finale of the 2009 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) will take place during the upcoming NAB Show, held April 10-15 in Las Vegas. Titled Filmapalooza, the three-day event will honor the winning films submitted by 48HFP participants in 2009. The competition, established in 2001, promotes filmmaking and creativity by providing filmmakers with a character, prop and line of dialogue and giving them two days to write, shoot and edit their film.

NAB Show organizers and the 48HFP launched the 2009 competition during last year's NAB Show. During the 2010 NAB Show, competition winners from over 70 cities worldwide will screen their films for hundreds of viewers and filmmakers. An awards ceremony held Monday, April 12, will honor the winning team with a grand prize of $3000, a Panasonic HPX170 camera and a trophy.
