SALT LAKE CITY--()--Equation announced today its acquisition of Nashville, TN-based Healthcare Compliance and Consulting Resources, Inc. (HCCR). Founded in 2001, HCCR provides consulting services to physician practices and hospitals. HCCR will operate under the Equation brand, led by Equation President and CEO Rick Carter. The teams will merge but continue to operate in their respective locations, Salt Lake City, UT and Nashville. HCCR President and CEO Cheryl Waltko will serve as the Vice President of Equation.

HCCR’s clients will continue to be served by their current teams, and existing contracts will not be affected. “We have partnered with Equation on previous assignments,” said Cheryl Waltko of HCCR. “By formally joining forces, we’ll be able to provide their analytical and economic expertise to our entire client base.”
The deal marks a step in executing Equation’s vision to institutionalize the use of empirical evidence and processes in the consulting industry to assess, advise and solve client challenges. “The day is coming when clients expect that all advice be grounded in analytics, all decisions be driven by data, all recommendations be proven through numbers,” explained Carter. “By coupling our analytical approach known as ‘∑xtreme Logik™’ with HCCR’s operational experience, we are well positioned for this industry shift.”
