SAN FRANCISCO--()--The Steele Foundation™, a global provider of investigative due diligence, consulting and strategic security services, today announced the appointment of Diana Lutz to the newly created position of Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer. Ms. Lutz will report to the President and CEO of STEELE International, Kenneth Kurtz.

In this new executive capacity, Ms. Lutz will be responsible for enhancing STEELE’s integrated governance, risk and compliance framework across the company that captures ethics, compliance and regulatory areas, and effectively supports an accountable and transparent business environment. She will have management oversight for the company’s ethics and business conduct program, related internal investigations, internal audit, and regulatory compliance matters.
The creation of this senior executive position underscores the commitment and absolute priority STEELE places on its core values of ethics, service, and performance. Ms. Lutz brings over 15 years of legal and compliance experience to Steele, including in-house experience designing and directing Fortune 200 Ethics and Compliance programs. She is a former Assistant Attorney General and a member of the State Bar in three states. Her corporate experience enhances STEELE’s FCPA consulting practice in anticorruption program development and implementation. In addition to her experience at Qwest Communications as Director of Corporate Ethics and Compliance, Ms. Lutz was Vice President of Ethics and Compliance at Vetco International, whose 12,000 employees conducted business across 30 countries, where she worked to mitigate the risk of doing business in remote locations with high potential for corruption.
