Sitecore’s Site of the Year contest recognizes organizations that have leveraged the company’s technology to develop an outstanding Web presence. Partners and customers submitted nominations on their use of Sitecore’s CMS to deliver more effective business processes and advance their online strategies. Judges considered creativity, integration with rich data sources and applications, ability to educate, motivate an action and the overall user experience.
CTU partnered with Toronto-based non~linear creations (NLC), a Sitecore Certified Solution Partner, to improve the ability to update the school Web site and create a destination that would better represent the CTU high-tech, highly personalized approach with prospective students, current students and alumni. CTU’s enhanced Web site has new social networking features and a streamlined process to easily and quickly update information.
“Because a majority of our students at Colorado Technical University are pursuing online degrees, it is important to have a Web site that provides a positive user experience and allows our staff to update content frequently with ease and efficiency,” says Marwan Alamat, vice president of information technology at Career Education Corporation, the parent company of CTU. “Since the redesign, we’ve seen a dramatic improvement in the process of publishing content and a significant increase in site traffic.”
The Sitecore Site of the Year contest is divided into four regions, including International, Denmark, UK, and North America. This year’s entries were judged within the following categories: Consumer Goods, Ecommerce, Education, Financial Services, Healthcare, Legal, Media, Non-Profit, Sports/Entertainment and Travel.
