Based on scoring, one winner is selected to receive the Helene Marks Award™ as National Child Care Teacher of the Year.
Since 1994, the TLLCCF has presented 585 awards totaling more than $550,000 to early care and education providers.
TLLCCF Executive Director Allan Miller stated, “Child care teachers, particularly those honored as our national award winners, are professionals. Their curriculum-based lesson plans further children’s natural creativity and stimulate curiosity to explore. Teachers play a vital role in the development of children. They introduce children to reading and writing, expanded vocabulary, arts, science, and social studies through games, music, artwork, books, computers, and other tools. Preschoolers learn mainly through investigation, play, and formal teaching. When teachers have done their jobs well they will have instilled a love of learning in their students.”
McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a division of McNeil-PPC, Inc., the makers of Children’s TYLENOL® has been the title sponsor for ten consecutive years.
The TLLCCF is making America better by improving early care and education.
