HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa.--()--AWeber Communications, a leading provider of web-based email marketing tools for small businesses, looks to move forward in 2010 with the same momentum that made 2009 a landmark year for the company. Despite the bleak economic landscape of 2009, AWeber expanded on all fronts and seized new opportunities to educate small businesses about the benefits of effective relationship marketing. Last year saw AWeber move to its new, state-of-the-art headquarters, significantly expand its internal team, grow its customer base, launch new product features, earn key accolades and continue to educate through the AWeber blog and weekly webinars. In 2010, AWeber will continue this momentum with further product enhancements, educational initiatives and continued hiring of bright, tech savvy people in the Philadelphia area.
The 24,000 square foot, environmentally friendly building that the company moved into last summer, gives employees of AWeber access to better team meeting areas and new training facilities, including a classroom that AWeber intends to use to bring businesses and entrepreneurs together throughout 2010 and beyond. Moving to the new office allowed AWeber to expand its development team and hire additional Education and Customer Solutions team members. In 2010, AWeber will continue hiring tech savvy professionals in the Philadelphia area, increasing its workforce by an additional 20%.
In 2009, AWeber expanded its customer base by nearly 50% and now manages email marketing campaigns for more than 75,000 small businesses and organizations. In December, AWeber was ranked 19th on the list of “Best Places to Work PA.” This type of growth and recognition exemplifies the commitment AWeber demonstrates toward its employees and small business customers.
Several new product features and enhancements were also unveiled in 2009, such as Autoresponder Send Windows, which allow businesses to automatically deliver follow up messages during predetermined days and times. The company also announced new interface usability enhancements with its highly-touted Web Form Generator, which enables small business owners to save on web developer fees with simple design tools featuring drag and drop customization. Without requiring knowledge of HTML, small business owners can customize hundreds of existing templates or build eye-catching new web forms from scratch.
AWeber has big plans for 2010. The company recently announced Hosted Web Forms – a feature beneficial to email marketers who cannot post Form HTML or for those who want to post a web form to Twitter and track its success. AWeber will also soon announce a redesign of their broadcast archives – web pages of customers’ emails that look like blog posts. This feature allows AWeber customers to link to a web page version of an email complete with the option of adding sign up forms, Twitter links and an RSS signup option.
Throughout 2010, AWeber will make creating and delivering effective email marketing campaigns easier than ever through a number of powerful new features and usability enhancements. The company also plans to provide a number of exciting educational opportunities to small business customers regarding responsible, permission-based email marketing. The AWeber blog, an Ad Age Power 150 site, contains posts, interviews and information concerning email marketing best practices including topics such as segmentation, deliverability and strategy. AWeber also offers education webinars throughout the week and informative videos are available on AWeber’s YouTube channel.
