INDIANAPOLIS--()--Compendium, the only online platform for enterprises to manage social media and SEO, announced today that it has experienced record growth in 2009 and will add new employees to its team to support the continued growth and expansion of the company in 2010. Compendium added 217 new clients last year, a 72 percent increase over 2008, putting its total client roster at more than 400 companies. Among the newest clients to implement Compendium’s platform are CareerBuilder.com, Carhartt, hhgregg and DePauw University. Compendium reported a revenue increase of 160 percent and plans to hire fifty new employees in 2010 to sustain its growth.
“Since using Compendium’s platform to develop a corporate blog, we’ve closed thousands of dollars through demo requests that can be directly attributed to our blogging strategy.”
Compendium’s rapid growth has been spurred by the fact that consumers continue to use online search engines to find products and services they need. According to the Pew American Internet Study, 91 percent of all Internet users said search is the number one activity they do online. Compendium’s unique online platform connects businesses with consumers searching for solutions by helping them create blogs and social media content that boost a company’s ranking in relevant search results. By helping companies be found more easily by consumers searching for solutions online, Compendium helps companies attract new customers and ultimately boosts an organization’s bottom line.
John Murzycki, Director of Marketing for EasyLobby, a provider of visitor solutions for companies, recently saw a significant increase in traffic and conversions for product demonstration requests since implementing Compendium’s software. “Product demos are our most successful closing strategy. Once we are able to convert a lead with a demo request, 85-90 percent result in closed business,” said Murzycki. “Since using Compendium’s platform to develop a corporate blog, we’ve closed thousands of dollars through demo requests that can be directly attributed to our blogging strategy.”
“We are very excited about the growth that Compendium has seen in the past few years, and are looking forward to helping more businesses leverage the power of search-driven blogging and social media,” said Chris Baggott, co-founder and CEO of Compendium Blogware. “As customers turn to search engines to find answers to their problems, marketers are realizing that it is critical to publish relevant content that helps their company be more easily found by consumers online. Our platform empowers our clients to create, manage and publish, relevant content that helps convert online searchers into potential customers.”
To support the company’s business growth, Compendium added seven new team members to its Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Client Success Management teams in January 2010, including a new Executive Vice President of Sales, Scott Bleczinski.
Compendium plans to fill an additional eight positions in its Business Development and Client Success Management departments. For more information on these positions, or to submit an application, please visit: http://compendiumblogware.myexacthire.com/.
