WASHINGTON--()--Satellite 2010 Stand #1529 - Vizada, the largest independent provider of mobile satellite services, announced today that it has formed a dedicated Solutions Engineering Team to make IP solutions expertise readily available to all Vizada Service Provider partners. With focused training and support services delivered by an IP-savvy technical staff, Vizada’s Solutions Engineering Team helps Service Providers tap into the burgeoning IP satellite market.
“Our new Solutions Engineering Group dramatically bolsters our IP-based service capabilities, which have been a growing source of revenue for the company and its partners”
The Solutions Engineering Team is the newest facet of Vizada’s Business Support Systems, a broad range of systems that are a key part of Vizada’s commitment to help partners maximize revenue opportunities through the sale of Vizada’s multi-satellite network operator (SNO) offerings and proprietary Vizada Solutions™. As part of its scope, the Solutions Engineering Team offers live demonstrations and hands-on training and beta testing for all Vizada partners in the newly established, state-of-the-art Vizada Technology Center. The Team coordinates with satellite network operators, equipment manufacturers and application providers to identify tested and proven IP solutions for Service Providers, who, in turn, can bundle and promote them in the marketplace.
Complimenting Vizada’s 24-hour Customer Care Center, the Solutions Engineering Team troubleshoots service issues that are more complex than those resolved with trusted protocols and practices. The group leverages Vizada’s investment in state-of-the-art diagnostic and monitoring tools to drill down and remedy advanced connectivity and service problems.
“Our new Solutions Engineering Group dramatically bolsters our IP-based service capabilities, which have been a growing source of revenue for the company and its partners,” said Bob Baker, President and COO of Vizada Americas. “This is just one of many specialty service and support programs we’ve created in the last two years to better meet the needs of our partners and the customers they serve. Throughout the coming year, we plan to expand this team and continue to invest in other programs, which like this one are designed to support our partners as they grow and innovate their businesses.”
Vizada tapped company veteran Michelle Wagner-Suziedelis to establish and lead the new Group. As Director of Product Management and Solutions Engineering, Wagner-Suziedelis will also continue to drive Vizada’s Training Academy and the Vizada Solution Certification Program, the first technical certification program of its kind in the mobile satellite services (MSS) industry. Wagner-Suziedelis also directs development and management for Vizada’s industry-leading web-based information management platform, The Source®.
“In the last year, we have seen a tremendous growth in requests for IP services and increased bandwidth, especially among military and government customers for services such global single IP access and applications like communications on the move,” said Bo Norton, vice president, government sales Vizada. “We’ve had single IP addressing available in our network since November; and now with a dedicated Solutions Engineering Team, we can provide advanced help to our Service Provider partners and their customers in meeting their mission-critical satellite data needs.”
Vizada’s Solutions Engineering Team will be showcasing three solutions at Vizada’s booth (#1529) during the Satellite 2010 exhibition, including two for IP Streaming requirements—one for live and store, and one for forward video using Streambox technology and video teleconferencing using DigiGone technology. The third demonstration will be a data collection solution using Global Relief Technology (GRT). All three solutions are being used by partners helping with earthquake relief in Haiti, including first responders and media organizations.
