Grey, a veteran of the digital sports media space, will begin his duties in July and be based out of the company’s San Francisco offices.

Grey most recently served as an Executive-in-Residence at Polaris Venture Partners where he evaluated and advised various digital and technology businesses. For three years Grey was SVP & GM of FOX Sports Interactive, where he oversaw the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of FOX Sports’ digital businesses, which included FOXSports.com, FOX Sports Mobile, Scout Media, and Whatifsports.com. While at FOX, Grey directed the expansion of FSI’s original video production and programming in concert with the FOX Sports broadcast and FOX Sports Net cable television groups. Prior to FOX Sports, Grey was GM of Yahoo! Sports, a role in which he spearheaded the site’s push into original editorial programming and growth into the Web’s clear-cut No. 1 fantasy sports product. Grey also served in a variety of executive roles at Netscape, AOL, and Shutterfly.

Grey holds a B.A. from Pacific University, an M.A. in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and an M.B.A. from UCLA’s Andersen School of Management.
