SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Infoblox Inc. today announced that leading hosting firm, MaximumASP, is using Infoblox appliances to manage their external domain name service (DNS). For a hosting company, DNS is the lifeline of their business. Without a secure and stable platform, the business will grind to a halt. After years of using a software-based solution, MaximumASP decided to evaluate their external DNS options. Their requirements for a new solution included stability, a solid operating system and an enhanced security platform that could withstand distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.
“As a hosting firm, we had specific needs; external DNS is so important to us and we needed to a find stable product that was simple, easy to use and manage”
“As a hosting firm, we had specific needs; external DNS is so important to us and we needed to a find stable product that was simple, easy to use and manage,” said Jerome Pascua, Lead Developer at MaximumASP. “Infoblox fit the bill with its reliable and scalable appliance platforms, unique Grid technology and intuitive GUI. Now, DNS is the easiest responsibility for my team and we are confident that our DNS infrastructure will support our future growth.”
After evaluating several vendors, MaximumASP selected Infoblox-2000 and -1550 platforms with Infoblox’s unique Grid™ technology. The Infoblox appliances reside in MaximumASPs data center in Kentucky and support the company’s worldwide customer base.
The Infoblox-2000 hardware platform is designed for deployment in data centers, large enterprises, and service provider environments. The fault tolerant Infoblox-2000 includes fully redundant, hot-swappable components to assure reliability. The Infoblox-2000 can be deployed singularly or as a Grid member, as MaximumASP did for delivering scalable, high-performance external DNS services for an enterprise’s Internet presence.
MaximumASP is managing DNS through a combination of the Infoblox GUI and custom tools leveraging the Infoblox API for zone and record management.
