Thompson Hine Partner Recognized on Lawdragon List

CLEVELAND--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Thompson Hine LLP partner Steve Kaufman is one of this year’s Lawdragon 3000, a list of top lawyers in the country. Lawdragon, a media company dedicated to the legal community, compiles the list through a combination of written submissions, online votes, an online ballot and editorial research. The list of 3,000 lawyers represents less than 1 percent of all the lawyers in the country. Kaufman is one of only 11 lawyers in Cleveland to make the list, and one of only 38 named to the list from Ohio.

Kaufman, a member of the firm’s Business Litigation practice, is a former executive committee member, former chair of the firm’s Business Litigation practice group and a past president of the Cleveland Bar Association. He is a member of the Real Estate Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association and co-chair of the Real Estate Litigation Programs Subcommittee. He is a member of the National Council of Bar Presidents and an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

Kaufman serves as lead trial counsel in state and federal courts throughout the United States on a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters, including complex commercial, real estate and real estate development, eminent domain, professional liability, fiduciary duty, intellectual property and patent, civil rights, class action, commercial, constitutional, contract, corporate and securities. He is admitted to practice in Ohio; the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Ohio, the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Michigan; the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits; the United States Court of Claims; and the United States Supreme Court, as well as voluminous pro hac admissions in dozens of other state and federal courts throughout the United States.
