SEATTLE--()--Soon Harry Potter fans in Seattle will get the chance to step inside the famous wizard’s magical world with Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which opens at Pacific Science Center on October 23, 2010. Tickets are now available online at pacificsciencecenter.org or by calling 800-664-8775. Pacific Science Center is the only West Coast venue to host Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which will run in Seattle through January 30, 2011.

“Seeing is believing with the detail and artistry that brings this world to life, and visitors to Pacific Science Center will be wowed at every turn.”

In partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Global Experience Specialists, Inc. (GES) created the 10,000-square-foot experiential exhibition, where guests will be able to visit dramatic displays inspired by the Hogwarts™ film sets and see the amazing craftsmanship behind authentic costumes and props from the films. For the first time ever, original artifacts from the highly anticipated, two-part finale to the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™, will be on display, along with hundreds of original props and costumes from the other Harry Potter movies.

To add to the excitement, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1: The IMAX Experience will be presented at Pacific Science Center’s Boeing IMAX Theater when the film opens on November 19, 2010.

“The exhibition continues to be a resounding success at every stop, and the response from fans eager to immerse themselves in the Harry Potter experience is overwhelming," said Karen McTier, executive vice president, domestic licensing and worldwide marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “Seeing is believing with the detail and artistry that brings this world to life, and visitors to Pacific Science Center will be wowed at every turn.”

Harry Potter: The Exhibition offers fans a firsthand view of hundreds of authentic artifacts displayed in settings inspired by the film sets—including the Great Hall, Hagrid's hut, the Gryffindor™ common room—and more.

“In anticipation of the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, we’re excited to offer fans in Seattle the opportunity to experience this magical exhibition and relive their favorite moments from the first six films,” said Eddie Newquist, chief creative officer for GES. “There is no better way to celebrate the beginning of the end, and to appreciate the artistry and creativity which went into bringing this epic series to life.”

"Through the art and technological wizardry of movie-making, the Harry Potter films have brought to life an enchanting and complex world," said Bryce Seidl, president and CEO for Pacific Science Center. "As one of the Northwest’s leading cultural institutions, the Science Center is excited to offer our visitors this rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the magical world of Harry Potter.
