Ron Paul Comments on Obamacare Mandates

Healthcare through the force of ‘big government’

WASHINGTON--()--Congressman Ron Paul commented on the recent news surrounding Republican presidential candidates and the issue of government healthcare mandates. See statement below.

“I would also grant waivers for all state and local governments from all unconstitutional federal mandates.”

"Unlike certain other presidential candidates, I have always opposed any and all mandates forcing individuals to purchase health insurance.

“As President, not only would I issue waivers from 'Obamacare' for all states, but I would issue mandate waivers for all individuals by instructing the IRS not to assess the penalties for non-compliance with the mandate law.

“I would also grant waivers for all state and local governments from all unconstitutional federal mandates."
