ALEXANDRIA, Va.--()--Patrick R. Pennella completed his Certificate in Congressional Operations from TheCapitol.Net. The Certificate in Congressional Operations is awarded to participants in the program who have completed more than 75 hours of congressional related training.

Patrick Pennella is a Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard. He is currently assigned to the Office of Budget and Programs at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Patrick R. Pennella manages the congressional reports process, coordinates responses to congressional questions and department appropriations-related inquiries, and assists with preparing Coast Guard witnesses for congressional testimony. Previously, Lt. Pennella was assigned to the USCGC CONFIDENCE for two years, where he served as a deck watch officer, the supply officer, and a law enforcement boarding officer. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Canada in 2007, where he spent one year studying Canadian politics and bilateral security issues. A 2007 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers, Lt. Pennella is married with two children.
