Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital and Deer River HealthCare Announce Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI)-Grand Rapids

New CDI-Grand Rapids partnership provides enhanced medical imaging services to the community

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, Deer River HealthCare Center, Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) and Radiological Associates of Duluth today announce a partnership to manage local medical imaging services under one entity, CDI-Grand Rapids, in order to provide improved access to high quality, reliable patient services.

“The collaboration of Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, Deer River HealthCare and CDI will enhance patient care by improving access to quality medical services in the communities served throughout Northern Minnesota. In addition, this partnership avoids unnecessary duplication of services in these rural communities.”

As part of the agreement, CDI-Grand Rapids will provide diagnostic injections and pain management services as well as manage the High-field MRI scanner at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. In addition, CDI-Grand Rapids will install and manage a new High-field, Open-sided MRI scanner at Deer River HealthCare Center in the spring of 2012, replacing the existing mobile MRI service.
