Daniel Voelker Named Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations at Aquion Energy, Inc.

PITTSBURGH--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Aquion Energy, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of revolutionary batteries and energy storage systems, has named Daniel Voelker as its Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations. Mr. Voelker was previously Vice President, Engineering & Operations of Altair Nanotechnologies Inc., a provider of advanced lithium-ion energy storage systems.

Mr. Voelker has over 30 years of experience in a wide range of technology-based companies. Prior to Altair Nanotechnologies, Mr. Voelker served as the Vice President of Business Development & Sales and the Vice President of Operations for Wes-Tech Automation Solutions, a systems integration business supplying the automotive industry. Previously, Mr. Voelker served at DT Industries, Inc. for five years and at Duracell for more than sixteen years. His roles at Duracell included Project Engineer, Systems Engineering Manager, Plant Engineering Manager for Duracell’s lithium manufacturing operation and Director of Equipment Engineering for Duracell world-wide. He played a key role in Duracell product launches of lithium battery products and lithium plant startup, the on-cell battery tester, ultra alkaline batteries, as well as key capacity expansion initiatives for alkaline batteries globally.
