SAN DIEGO--()--Echo Pacific Construction (www.echopacific.com) is honored to have had the opportunity to participate along with Lowe’s Stores of San Diego in the Habitat for Humanity Women Build Event. The partnership of Echo Pacific, Habitat for Humanity, Lowe’s Stores, and other corporate sponsors came together for the week long Women Build.
Echo Pacific team members along with 15 other community volunteers and Habit for Humanity staff, worked side by side to restore a house on Greenfield Drive, in El Cajon. The project was a bank owned property, purchased by Habit for Humanity for restoration in an effort to provide an affordable alternative for a low income San Diego County family. Each year women from all over the County volunteer a week of their time demolishing and remodeling one of these homes. In turn they gain hands on experience and knowledge of various construction trades. “Women Build encourages women of all ages and walks of life to pick up their hammers and build affordable homes alongside local families. We salute the hardworking women volunteers from Echo Pacific Construction who took time to build last week and value the difference Echo Pacific’s partnership is making in the lives of families in need in San Diego,” said Randy Frisch, Chairman of the Board of Directors at San Diego Habitat for Humanity.
As a local Construction Industry Leader, Echo Pacific was thrilled to be involved in helping San Diego families achieve the American dream of home ownership. “There are just so many ways to stand in the gap, especially nowadays when so many families are facing hardship and uncertainty. We have always felt it is our responsibility to give back and do what we can, it’s humbling to be able to make this kind of difference and I am so proud of our ladies who were so enthusiastic about the chance to pitch in,” said Chris Rowe, President of Echo Pacific.
