LOS ANGELES--()--MyLife.com® ("MyLife"), a site that enables over 60 million members to find new connections on the web and manage all their social and email accounts in one place, today announced the launch of the MyLife Social Dashboard, available on the Web and for mobile on both iOS and Android. The company also announced results from the Connecting and Communicating Online: State of Social Media study, conducted online in July 2012 by Harris Interactive, suggesting that consumers’ fear of missing out has been heightened by their increased reliance on social networks. With the launch of its Social Dashboard, MyLife brings together its popular People Search tool and an intuitive platform that enables consumers to easily manage all of their communication, across multiple social networks and email accounts, in one place.
“Consumers are juggling so many social media sites and accounts that they’ve become totally overwhelmed by the fear of missing out on an important event or status update”
“Consumers are juggling so many social media sites and accounts that they’ve become totally overwhelmed by the fear of missing out on an important event or status update,” said Jeff Tinsley, CEO of MyLife. “Our Social Dashboard makes it easy for everyday users – not just marketers or big brands – to manage their busy online lives by helping them streamline communication across multiple platforms, receiving and sending emails and social media updates all in one place.”
MyLife enables users to create their own personal portal, providing a central location in which they can manage all communication and make valuable new connections. With People Search, users can perform unlimited searches from a database of over 700 million profiles to find family, friends or co-workers for free.
The new Social Dashboard builds upon the technology and assets from MyLife’s acquisition of integrated social communications manager Threadsy in March of this year to help users stay connected more easily. The new product brings consumers a complete feature set and functionality to make it easy to find and maintain connections across numerous platforms.
Features of the MyLife Social Dashboard include:
-
Check Multiple Accounts: View all social network updates on one
convenient and confidential dashboard. View and manage all social
network updates from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as well as email
from Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL and Hotmail, all on one convenient and
confidential dashboard.
- According to the State of Social Media study, 62 percent of adults who are currently a member of more than one social networking site say they keep an eye on their social networks because they don’t want to miss something (e.g., news or an important event or status update).
