HONOLULU--()--UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Hawai‘i has donated $10,000 to FACE (Faith Action for Community Equity) to support the development of a community health center in Wahiawa.
“The federal grant awarded last year by the federal government has enabled FACE to lay the foundation for the new Wahiawa Center for Community Health (WCCH), and these funds will help to continue the work of making the center a reality”
The Wahiawa Center for Community Health (WCCH) will help meet the medical and related needs of the underserved. The project has generated interest and support from the Wahiawa business community and local care providers, and the Hawaii Primary Care Association is helping to support the project’s development.
“The federal grant awarded last year by the federal government has enabled FACE to lay the foundation for the new Wahiawa Center for Community Health (WCCH), and these funds will help to continue the work of making the center a reality,” said Mary Talon, president of the Board of Directors of the WCCH and FACE leader.
“UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Hawai‘i is grateful for the opportunity to continue its partnership with FACE and provide funding for this very worthwhile effort.
