Carrington Colleges Group Announces National Career Exploration Day

Twenty campuses to offer complimentary career guidance services for prospective students

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Carrington College® and Carrington College® California, part of the DeVry family of schools, will host a national Career Exploration Day at all campuses on Wednesday, September 12 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Faculty and students will be on-hand to provide in-depth tours of interactive classrooms and discuss programs, which include medical assisting, dental assisting, medical billing and coding, pharmacy technology and more. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet with enrollment service representatives to discuss career opportunities and learn more about financing higher education with our dedicated student financing department.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has stated that health care practitioners and technical occupations are projected to grow almost twice as fast as the average rate of other occupations through 2016, which is good news for graduates from Carrington colleges and something potential students should keep in mind when attending the Career Exploration Day.

At select campuses, potential students will also be able to meet with local business representatives from organizations that provide externship experiences, which are a part of many Carrington programs. Interested students will be given the opportunity to “Crash a Class,” where they will sit in on a class of their choosing in order to better understand the career path that they may choose.
