BOSTON & GENEVA--()--PHT Corporation announced that Vice President of Marketing and Product Management Sheila Rocchio is among this year’s prestigious PharmaVOICE 100 list of most influential people in life sciences industries. Ms. Roccio is the 5th PHT executive to make the list and is credited by PharmaVOICE magazine for taking ePRO and electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA) offerings to the next level.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be named to the PharmaVOICE 100, in the company of so many distinguished colleagues in the life sciences industries. My goal has been and will always be to help researchers use electronic clinical technologies to do great science that will benefit humanity.”
PHT is the leading provider of innovative technologies used to collect patient-driven edata for clinical research.
Established eight years ago by PharmaVOICE magazine, the PharmaVOICE 100 is an annual list of individuals recognized for their positive contributions to the life sciences industry.
PHT President and CEO Philip Lee, himself a PharmaVOICE 100 honoree in 2011, said, “Sheila has an unequaled ability to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the clinical research community as well as the worldwide clinical trial patient population. We congratulate her on this well-earned recognition from her peers.”
Sheila Rocchio’s colleagues at PHT and in the life sciences community refer to her as “the Queen of ePRO.” Every day she lives her passion for delivering electronic clinical research technologies that enable sponsors and CROs to do good science, obtain better outcomes, empower patients, and bring better drugs to market faster, safer and more economically than ever before.
In addition to making eCOAs an emerging global standard in collecting clinical research data, Ms. Rocchio champions new ways for pharmaceutical companies to collect accurate patient data. She has helped PHT develop a range of ePRO modalities that satisfy clinical trial stakeholders: Over the past year she successfully launched the first Smartphone app for ensuring clinical trial participant compliance, SmartReports Mobile, and the first Web browser-based ePRO system that collects patient-driven data via the Internet, NetPROTM.
Currently Ms. Rocchio is a finalist for the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council’s Emerging Executive of the Year. She also was a finalist for the Clinical Trial Business Woman of the Year award at the prestigious international Partners in Clinical Trials Conference.
