CyDesign Labs, Inc. Announces the Acquisition of deltatheta UK Limited

State-of-the-Art Modelica modeling and simulation tools from deltatheta to be integrated into the CyDesign platform

PALO ALTO, Calif. & COVENTRY, England & MUNICH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CyDesign Labs, Inc., the developer of the CyDesign platform for model-based design optimization, announced today the acquisition of deltatheta UK Limited, a technology leader in Modelica-based modeling and simulation tools. The acquisition was announced at the 9^th International Modelica Conference held in Munich, Germany.

CyDesign will provide engineers with a unified suite of tools to better manage the rapidly increasing complexity of industrial systems design. The CyDesign platform includes a complete range of integrated systems engineering functions including requirements management, model libraries, simulation, verification and certification. The CyDesign platform will be commercially available in 2013.

The deltatheta acquisition complements CyDesign’s unique cloud-based solution set. This will be the industry’s first complete cloud-based, web-accessible simulation and modeling environment. CyDesign will provide engineers with a simple usage fee structure for access to all its rich design and system engineering capabilities without the restrictions of traditional licenses.

Coventry-based deltatheta UK Limited has been renamed CyDesign Limited. Research and development initiatives centered around Modelica tools will be expanded in CyDesign Limited’s Coventry, UK offices.
