LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--()--The Employee Benefits (TEB) marketing unit of Transamerica Life Insurance Company announced today that it has expanded its sales team again to meet the growing demand for voluntary benefits. It has added one regional vice president and three area sales managers who will be responsible for the distribution of TEB products in their respective territories.

“The appeal of voluntary benefits continues to increase as employers scale back company-sponsored benefits plans and look for ways to supplement their current program,” said Brad Ridnour, senior vice president and national sales director for Transamerica Employee Benefits. “These four highly skilled sales professionals with deep ties to regional markets will broaden TEB’s reach, allowing us to serve more employees in need of supplemental benefits to fill the coverage gap. They will also provide current customers and our distributors with greater service and added flexibility.”
TEB’s new employees include:
- Jim Bryant, Regional Vice President – Bryant will oversee the growing Kentucky and Indiana markets. He has more than 18 years of insurance industry experience and recently served as a sales executive at Humana Inc.
- Michelle Iafigliola, Area Sales Manager – With more than eight years of sales experience, Iafigliola will represent TEB in Southern California. Prior to joining TEB, she was a high performing sales representative for Paychex, Inc.
- Simone Levy, Area Sales Manager – Representing TEB in Northern California, Levy previously served as a group benefits sales representative at Assurant Employee Benefits where she was responsible for developing strong relationships with key brokers.
- Valerie Verfuss, Area Sales Manager – Verfuss will manage TEB’s upstate New York, Vermont and northwest Pennsylvania territory. She most recently managed small-to-mid market accounts at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
Bryant will report to Territory Vice President Ken Ciak. Iafigliola and Levy will report to Territory Vice President Shawn Smith, and Verfuss will report to Territory Vice President Jody Sevy.
