CLEVELAND--()--Join the Tremont-area nonprofit Merrick House for their annual benefit on Friday, September 14, 2012 at The South Side Restaurant (also located in the Tremont neighborhood).
“We rely on the support of very generous Clevelanders to help us achieve our monetary goals, which will secure these programs for years to come. We are committed to our mission of assisting, educating and empowering individuals, families and neighborhoods”
The event, which is a kick-off to the 14th Annual Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival, will include food, refreshments and entertainment, all for just $20/ticket. Special guest Terry Lee Goffee, the “ultimate” Johnny Cash tribute, will provide the music, and there will be a raffle with prizes valued at up to $1,800, with all proceeds benefiting Merrick House programming.
Merrick House, established in 1919, provides services to several Cleveland-area communities. Childcare, youth services, and teen and adult education are among the programs offered.
“Benefits like this one help Merrick House continue to provide outstanding and much needed services to those in our community,” said Stacia Naoum, Director of Marketing & Communications for Merrick House. “We rely on the support of very generous Clevelanders to help us achieve our monetary goals, which will secure these programs for years to come. We are committed to our mission of assisting, educating and empowering individuals, families and neighborhoods,” added Naoum.

About Terry Lee Goffee:
International artist Terry Lee Goffee has been a fan of Johnny Cash since he was 8. To honor his musical hero, Terry Lee became the “ultimate” Johnny Cash tribute, not to impersonate him, but to pay tribute to him. Portraying Johnny Cash in the first person, rather than just standing and singing the songs, Terry Lee is an actor in a play and literally becomes the character. Among the 34 songs included in the tribute are such Cash classics as: “A Boy Named Sue”, “Sunday Morning Coming Down”, “I Walk The Line”, “Ring Of Fire”, “Folsom Prison Blues” and “Hurt”. Terry Lee’s Tribute to Johnny Cash has taken him all across the US, Canada, Ireland and the UK. Find more at: http://www.terryleegoffee.com/
