CALABASAS HILLS, Calif.--(The Cheesecake Factory® continues its support for Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief organization, by donating proceeds from its Oreo® Dream Extreme Cheesecake sales this year.)--

The Cheesecake Factory will donate $0.25 for every slice of its new Oreo® Dream Extreme Cheesecake sold from September 1, 2012 through the end of August 2013, in support of the organization’s initiatives to mobilize the public to end hunger in the United States.
Also in support of Feeding America’s September Hunger Action Month, The Cheesecake Factory staff members nationwide will participate in a Peanut Butter Drive to benefit local Feeding America food banks. The company’s goal is to collect more than 100,000 pounds of peanut butter throughout September, just in time for back to school lunches for hungry children.

The Cheesecake Factory’s financial support will aid in Feeding America’s efforts to raise money for its network of more than 200 local food banks that serve 37 million Americans in need each year. Since 2008, The Cheesecake Factory has donated over $2.1 million to Feeding America, which is the equivalent of 14.7 million meals.

In other ongoing efforts to support its local communities, The Cheesecake Factory participates in a nationwide Harvest Food Donation Program in which surplus food from the restaurants is regularly donated to local food rescue operations for distribution to soup kitchens and shelters to help those in need. Since the program’s inception in late 2007, The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than 1.8 million pounds of food to those in need.
The Cheesecake Factory partnered with the world’s favorite cookie to create the new Oreo® Dream Extreme Cheesecake, which debuted at all 158 restaurants nationwide on July 30. The Oreo® Dream Extreme Cheesecake features vanilla cheesecake loaded with Oreo® cookies, layers of moist fudge cake and a rich Oreo® cookie mousse topped with milk chocolate icing and a large Oreo® cookie wafer.
