ROTH Capital Partners Announces Appointment of Lionel Conacher as Vice Chairman

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ROTH Capital Partners (ROTH), www.roth.com, a full-service investment bank focused on serving emerging growth companies and their investors, today announced that Lionel Conacher has joined the firm as Vice Chairman.

Mr. Conacher was Co-founder and CEO of Westwind Partners Inc., a Toronto broker-dealer that was purchased by Thomas Weisel Partners in 2008 for $155 million. He then served as President and COO of Thomas Weisel Partners until it was purchased by Stifel Financial in 2010. Lionel has over 25 years of experience in the finance industry in North America and the UK. He obtained his BA in Economics and Art History from Dartmouth College.

Mr. Conacher will work with ROTH's investment banking team, focusing on merger and acquisitions advisory work and corporate finance. He will also assist ROTH in its efforts to raise capital for Canadian companies from U.S. institutional investors and promote liquidity for Canadian companies on U.S. exchanges.
