Tolly Group Awards Performance Certification to Dialogic PowerMedia Extended Media Server (XMS)

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dialogic (NASDAQ: DLGC), a leading provider of products and technologies that enable operators to provide – and subscribers to enjoy – an enhanced mobile experience, today announced that The Tolly Group, an independent testing agency, has awarded its performance certification to Dialogic® PowerMedia™ Extended Media Server (PowerMedia XMS) Release 1.1. PowerMedia XMS is a powerful software media server that enables real-time audio and video communications solutions for mobile and broadband environments on common datacenter server infrastructure. The Tolly Group testing confirmed that PowerMedia XMS 1.1 meets or exceeds criteria in areas of media server density, host CPU and memory utilization, call processing, media latency and voice quality as defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for media latency and the PESQ algorithm for voice quality. In today’s networks, media servers are used to deliver high density value added network services such as conferencing, messaging and IVR applications.

PowerMedia XMS 1.1 enhancements (over Release 1.0) include new management console features, expanded 64-bit Linux OS support, HD video processing at 720p resolution, and broader support for the standard MSML control protocol frequently used in conferencing applications.
