“With years of in-classroom experience, Michael Geisen is one of the country’s foremost educators with a deep understanding of how to engage students through fun and informative lessons. We are thrilled to have partnered with Michael as we release the second edition of this highly popular course.”
Compelling and interactive, How to Become a SuperStar Student brings the expertise of one of the nation’s most skilled teachers directly to consumers in an easily accessible video download or DVD. Through 12 engaging half-hour sessions tailored for students, Geisen steers a path to successful learning, covering topics that include how to effectively take notes, solve problems with creativity and critical thinking and approach tests with focus and confidence. In the complimentary six-lecture Parents Guide, parents learn how to help with homework, effectively communicate with teachers and prepare their student for college.
“Students are being taught the subjects, but no one has specifically taught them how to learn,” said Michael Geisen. “In this course, students are taught how to identify and understand their individual learning style, and then build upon that with tips, tricks and techniques for success based on cutting-edge research.”
“How to Become a SuperStar Student, the first course of its kind, is an invaluable resource for today’s students and parents,” said Brandon Hidalgo, CEO of The Teaching Company, which produces The Great Courses. “With years of in-classroom experience, Michael Geisen is one of the country’s foremost educators with a deep understanding of how to engage students through fun and informative lessons. We are thrilled to have partnered with Michael as we release the second edition of this highly popular course.”
