VALHALLA, N.Y.--()--Turtle Beach, pioneer and market leader of the gaming headset category, announces the appointment of Juergen Stark by the Board of Directors as Chief Executive Officer effective today. Stark assumes leadership from Carmine Bonanno, who founded the company in 1975 with Fred Romano. Both Bonanno and Romano will continue with roles on Turtle Beach’s Board of Directors.

Prior to his appointment, Stark served as Chief Operating Officer for Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc.’s Mobile Devices business. In addition to leading a team of 700 individuals covering program management, global service and customer care, quality and testing, Stark played a comprehensive role in the operational management and turnaround of the $9.5 billion mobile devices business that led to its sale to Google in May of 2011.
Prior to his COO role, Stark lead the Motorola’s Productivity business, successfully doubling the portfolio of Windows Mobile based phones and putting the business back on a strong growth trajectory. He also previously served as General Manager and Corporate Vice President for several businesses within Motorola's Commercial and Government Solutions Division.

Prior to his nine year tenure with Motorola, Stark led as the CEO of Centerpost Corporation and as the President and Founder of Advanced Micro Systems Inc. Stark also served as a Principal at McKinsey & Company, Inc. for nine years.
Stark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
