NEW YORK--()--Irrive, a new website launched to the public today, will allow users to begin telling and sharing life’s adventures through a virtual scrapbook by gathering content from the users’ social networks.
“People love to share life’s great moments through social media, but because social platforms are feed-based, content either gets isolated or stuck between posts of no relevance”
Users can create an Irrive account that automatically gathers and organizes content from their favorite social networks and photo sharing sites – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Foursquare and Flickr. Once an account is created, it is simple to set-up a scrapbook for past or upcoming: vacations, holidays, getaways, and other memorable life events. The only thing users need to do is set the dates for the event and Irrive automatically creates the page. Once created, all scrapbook pages are stored in the user dashboard, making it easy for scrapbooks to be viewed and shared.
“People love to share life’s great moments through social media, but because social platforms are feed-based, content either gets isolated or stuck between posts of no relevance,” said Steven Cohn, CEO and Founder of Irrive. “At Irrive, we believe that people love to create and share a holistic view of their experiences. The challenge many people have is finding the time to organize their photos, posts and check-ins into a single album or blog. With Irrive, all of these memories are captured automatically and become a beautiful, visual record that can be easily shared.”
Irrive was established in 2011 by Steven Cohn who previously founded BuyYourFriendADrink, which was acquired by LivingSocial in 2009 and became the site’s Daily Deals product. Irrive, a member of the First Growth Venture Network, has raised $2 million in funding and lists a prominent advisory board including: David Rosenblatt, former Chief Executive Officer of DoubleClick; Satya Patel, former Vice President of Product at Twitter; Ian Schafer, Chief Executive Officer of Deepfocus; Nihal Mehta, Chief Executive Officer of LocalResponse; Seth Brody, former General Manager at Orbitz; Yan-David Erlich, Founder of ChoiceVender; Merrill Brown, former Senior Vice President of RealNetworks; and Jeff Epstein, former Chief Financial Officer of Oracle.
Irrive is still in the early stages of product development and the team is diligently working to launch additional features in the coming months, including: the ability to have multiple contributors to one scrapbook, page curation that allows users to adjust the content on a page, and a mobile website or application, which can be accessed on the road, at an event or anywhere.
