Bloomberg LP, Google Partner For Democratic National Convention

The Honorable Dan Pfeiffer to Preview President Obama's Speech Thursday at the Bloomberg /Google breakfast at the Bloomberg Link in Charlotte

Keynote Speaker San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, Mayor Annise Parker of Houston, Mayor Anthony Foxx of Charlotte and Mayor Ed Lee of San Francisco to Discuss Economy and Job Growth at Lunchtime Panel

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--()--Bloomberg LP announced today that the Honorable Dan Pfeiffer will be a featured speaker at the Bloomberg/ Google Policy Breakfast: The Internet, Jobs & the Economy. Mr. Pfeiffer will give a preview of President Obama's speech on Thursday September 6th at the Bloomberg Link, Bloomberg' DNC headquarters.

Bloomberg TV's "Street Smart" anchor Trish Regan will interview Pfeiffer and follow with a discussion with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Senator Mark Begich (D-AK), Governor Dannel Malloy (D-CT) and Austan Goolsebee about a new study on the impact of government policy on growth in the Internet and high tech industries.

The on-the-record discussion begins promptly at 10 a.m. and is open to registered press. Limited media riser positions are available and press must arrive by 9:30 a.m.

Google and Bloomberg will also team up for a lunch discussion at 12pm on how U.S. mayors are uniquely positioned to tackle challenges--from growing jobs to balancing budgets to keeping quality of life high. The discussion will feature Keynote Speaker San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, Mayor Annise Parker of Houston, Mayor Anthony Foxx of Charlotte and Mayor Ed Lee of San Francisco.

A Bloomberg / Google afternoon session at 2pm featuring former Obama White House Aide and Bloomberg Government Advisory Board member Carol Browner will look at how new energy technologies are creating jobs, enhancing security and establishing the U.S. as a leader in clean power.
