Membership Organization for Nonprofit Technology Professionals Joins Forces with Industry-Leading Organizations to Promote Integrated Marketing in the Nonprofit Sector

AUSTIN, Texas--()--The Integrated Marketing Advisory Board (IMAB) today announced that The Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) has joined the IMAB. The Integrated Marketing Advisory Board is a collection of 12 industry-leading organizations with deep expertise in integrated marketing both in the nonprofit sector and the for-profit sector.

“Integrated marketing is quickly emerging as an essential approach to constituent engagement for nonprofits”

“Integrated marketing is quickly emerging as an essential approach to constituent engagement for nonprofits,” said Michael Johnston, President, hjc, and Chairman of the IMAB. “NTEN’s history of sharing knowledge with nonprofits to help the sector use technology more effectively adds a strong voice and resource to the IMAB.”

The vision of the Integrated Marketing Advisory Board is to promote a discussion of the various successes and failures related to integrated marketing: understandings, trends, benefits and adoptions of integrated marketing activities within the nonprofit community.

“We’re excited about the potential that the IMAB brings to the nonprofit sector and we’re equally excited to lend our experience and knowledge to help the board deliver on its vision,” said Brett Meyer, Communications Director, NTEN. “With the advent of technologies such as social media and mobile technologies, donors, volunteers and advocates are using an increasing number of channels to interact with the nonprofits they support. It’s critical for nonprofits to understand those channels and learn how to use them to engage with their supporters.”
