LIBERTY LAKE, Wash.--()--Today, Gravity Jack, the creators of the browsAR app, confirmed that on September 17 browsAR 3.0 will be available for download on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.
“Augmented reality allows us to view the real world in an enhanced way”
browsAR is an augmented reality (AR) application that allows brands to expand creative marketing campaigns beyond posters, billboards, logos and print advertising. With a quick download of the app and scan of the image, the new browsAR ‘visual search’ feature can transform a movie poster into a movie trailer, a logo into a song, an album cover into the music video, a 2D digital short into a 3D experience, a print ad into an animated clip.
“Augmented reality allows us to view the real world in an enhanced way,” said Luke Richey, founder and CEO, Gravity Jack. “browsAR allows companies to market new experiences to consumers with images literally jumping off the page and screen, making the impossible, possible. We have also doubled our work force at Gravity Jack over the past year, hiring the best talent in the industry as we continue to invest in pushing the boundaries of technology through browsAR.”
browsAR 3.0 offers users a new way to experience Facebook. For the first time, AR has been combined with ‘geo location’ tracking where users can see their friend’s check-ins in 3D and pinpoint Facebook tags to the user’s exact location. browsAR users can create free QAR codes for personal Facebook profiles that when scanned display an augmented image within the profile. That same code can be placed on business cards, T-shirts, bumper stickers, and more, which allows Facebook users to create dynamic online and offline AR experiences.
Gravity Jack has worked with a variety of brands across several industries, including music, movies, politics, and consumer products to create original augmented reality experiences. Gravity Jack’s recent projects and partners include Bowflex, Coca-Cola and the largest Superman: Man of Steel fan community.
This month Gravity Jack will launch MushABelly, a free-for-download AR mobile game for iOS. Based on the popular plush toy franchise, MushABellies, MushABelly is the first AR app that allows players to merge the real and virtual worlds, turning virtually any room or surface into a game screen.
browsAR 3.0 will launch as a free download in App Store and Google Play on September 17 for iOS and Android devices.
