LONDON--()--OIPF - the global industry organisation enabling interoperability across all Connected TV devices through agreement of common technology specifications - will be centre stage partner of the TV Apps Village within the Apps World exhibition on 2-3 October at Earls Court 2 in London.
“We're very excited to be launching the TV Apps Village, in association with the OIPF. It will create a relaxed conversational space within the event for likeminded TV industry professionals to build partnerships to grow the TV apps marketplace.”
Founded by companies including Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony, Orange, Telecom Italia and Ericsson, the Open IPTV Forum now consists of over 50 key players in the IPTV eco-system, including broadcasters, service providers and apps developers, as well the leading TV manufacturers.
The village will create a focal point for IPTV, satellite and cable providers; broadcasters; TV content; consumer electronics; Smart TV companies; content providers and application developers to discuss and debate the future of TV app services. Exhibitors include Accedo, IMI Mobile, Capablue and more.
The OIPF TV apps Village will be placed adjacent to the TV Apps workshop track, allowing those interested in alternative service terminologies; from multiplatform and multi-screen, to TV Everywhere, mobile TV, Smart TV and Connected TV, to attend sessions and be introduced to leading suppliers and experts who can offer advice and insight into the rapidly converging TV market.
