MINNEAPOLIS--()--Jason King, a 2012 PhD graduate of Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has been named Mental Health Counselor of the Year by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). King, who earned a doctorate in General Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella, received the honor at the AMHCA’s recent national conference in Orlando. King, who lives in Orem, Utah, was honored for professional excellence and having “helped the clinical mental health counseling profession overcome challenges and create opportunities.” He is also the co-owner and clinical director of Life Enhancement Center, a group of community mental health and substance abuse clinics with offices throughout Utah.
