CHICAGO--()--AIM Specialty HealthSM has hired Dr. Susan Nedza to serve as the company’s chief medical officer to drive the use of new and existing programs focused on improving healthcare quality through the application of medical evidence while decreasing healthcare costs for members, employers and health plans across the country.

Nedza brings a valuable background of knowledge, expertise and relationships to AIM®, including demonstrated leadership as the Region V chief medical officer with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, vice president of clinical quality for the American Medical Association, and in her most recent role leading clinical program strategy at a private health IT company.
In addition, she currently serves in an academic role as adjunct associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.

Nedza completed her training in Emergency Medicine at Christ Hospital and Illinois Masonic Hospital in the Chicago area after completing her medical degree at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. She earned her master’s degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
