Pivot Charter School North Bay Launches New Programs that Combine Online Curriculum, On-Site Support

School Opening State-of-the-Art Facility in Santa Rosa, Still Enrolling Students for 2012-13 School Year

SANTA ROSA, Calif.--()--Pivot Charter School, North Bay, a free public charter school that offers full-time programs for students, grades 6-12, in Sonoma and surrounding counties, announced today that it will offer new two and five day a week programs for the 2012-2013 school year. Both programs combine a quality online curriculum that lets students work at their own pace with high levels of student support and assistance. Students attend school at Pivot’s new state-of-the-art facility, located at 1577 Farmers Lane, Santa Rosa, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays/Thursdays or 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday while working in an individualized curriculum with credentialed teachers on-site and online.

Pivot Charter School complies with all California graduation requirements and offers a rigorous, standards-based curriculum. Pivot Charter School offers both on-site and online classes and tutoring, more than 15 Advanced Placement courses, unique electives like music theory and graphic arts, credit recovery and early graduation options. Students can jump-start their college careers with dual enrollment in college courses. In addition to on-site teachers available during school hours, Pivot students have online access to California-certified teachers who can provide immediate assistance 24 hours a day. Pivot Charter School is ideal for many students, including home-schooled students, those needing a flexible schedule due to work or outside activity or family obligations, students living in remote locations, advanced learners, or students with health or physical challenges. Nationally recognized learning provider Advanced Academics supplies the program’s learning management system, web-based curriculum and online teaching staff.
