Four Solvents from INVISTA’s FlexiSolv™ Product Line Listed in CleanGredients® Database

CleanGredients^® program provides verified information about the environmental and human health attributes of listed ingredients

WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Four solvents from INVISTA’s FlexiSolv™ product line—FlexiSolv™ 2100C microemulsion concentrate, FlexiSolv™ DBE^®-4 ester, FlexiSolv™ DBE^®-5 ester and FlexiSolv™ DBE^®-6 ester—have been recently listed in the CleanGredients^® database after a third-party review by NSF International.

CleanGredients^®, a project of GreenBlue^®, is an online database of cleaning product ingredients that meet established requirements for superior environmental and human health performance. CleanGredients^® helps formulators identify ingredients that have potential environmental and human health benefits and helps suppliers showcase their chemicals with these benefits.

As a designated third-party reviewer for the CleanGredients^® program, NSF International reviewed INVISTA’s ingredient formulations for aquatic toxicity and biodegradability using criteria defined by the U.S. EPA Design for the Environment (DfE) Program. DfE encourages and assists formulators in designing products with more positive environmental and health profiles than conventional products.

The addition of INVISTA’s four FlexiSolv™ solvents significantly expands the available choices in the database.
