BERLIN--()--The railway world will be meeting for four days in Berlin. Under the slogan “the future of mobility”, the ninth and largest ever international trade fair for transport technology, InnoTrans 2012, will open on 18 September. For the first time InnoTrans will occupy all available space in the 26 exhibition halls as well as on the rail track and outdoor display areas. More than 2,500 exhibitors from 49 countries will be presenting their latest technical innovations for the rail sector in Berlin.
Providing a complete overview of the market, with all the latest products and services for the rail industry, this trade show is attracting over 100,000 trade visitors from all over the world to Berlin. Some 100 world premieres have been announced, providing proof of the advanced technology on offer in Berlin. Exhibitors from Europe too – and especially Germany – make use of this event as a platform for presenting their latest products for the first time to trade visitors.
Among the products making their premieres at InnoTrans are the TRAXX F140 diesel multi-engine locomotive from Bombardier Transportation, and the innovative high speed grinding technology offered by Vossloh Rail Services GmbH. Other premieres include the newly developed ZF-RailFlex bonded fibre coupling from ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
